Over a period of more than two years, we developed a comprehensive reverse recruiting platform for an emerging startup in the field of recruitment. This digital solution revolutionizes the traditional application process by reversing the approach: Instead of job seekers having to apply to companies, companies can actively search for suitable candidates based on detailed profiles and contact them directly. The platform is particularly aimed at the blue-collar sector and entry-level positions, where the classic application process often represents an unnecessary hurdle. Job seekers create a one-time profile with their qualifications, professional experience and preferences, and can then apply for relevant positions with one click. For employers, the platform offers a powerful search system with precise filter options to quickly identify suitable candidates. For development, a team of more than 10 nearshore developers was assembled who worked closely with the customer to create an outstanding product. The modern technology stack included a Java backend with microservices architecture and a reactive frontend with Angular, enabling a high-performance and scalable solution.

Challenge

The main challenge was to create an intuitive and easily accessible platform that is easy to use even for less tech-savvy users in the blue-collar sector. At the same time, the solution had to be scalable to keep pace with the rapid growth of the startup, and robust enough to handle increasing user numbers.

Solution

We pursued a strongly user-oriented approach, with regular usability tests and continuous feedback from actual end users. The microservices architecture enabled flexible scaling of individual system components, while the use of cloud technologies and containerization ensured the necessary infrastructure elasticity. The distributed development with a nearshore team was successfully coordinated through agile methods and daily communication routines.

Results

The platform has successfully established itself in the market and is recording continuous growth in user numbers and placed jobs. The simplified application processes and the transparency of job offers are particularly highlighted by users. For employers, the average time to fill open positions has been significantly reduced, leading to significant cost savings.
